Do you want to get better with you movement mechanics in Valorant? Mastering how to move in a game can give you a big edge, letting you outmanoeuvre your opponents, get information, and make accurate shots.

In this ultimate guide to movement, we’ll look at different techniques and strategies you can use to improve your movement and take your game to the next level. Let’s dive in!

    Jumping and Gliding Techniques:

In Valorant, there are smart ways to get to high places that don’t depend on agent skills. Learning how to jump and glide well can give you angles and vantage points you wouldn’t expect. Try jumping while holding the spacebar and crouching from a crate to glide onto a nearby truck.

Do a crouch jump from there to get to even higher platforms. With practise, these methods can give you a strategic edge over your opponents. Check the intro of the video posted below for visual examples.

    Jump Spotting:

Jump spotting is a good way to get information without putting yourself in danger for no reason. By jumping briefly to look over obstacles, you can see where enemies are and make better decisions.

When you’re jump-spotting, make sure to move side to side so you’re hard to hit. B-side to see Hookah on Bind or truck to C-showers on A-site Haven are common jump-spotting angles.

    Jiggle Peeking:

Jiggle peeking is a way to bait opponents or catch them off guard by quickly coming out in the open and hiding behind cover. You can make yourself harder to hit while gathering information by taking out your knife or putting on a weapon that lets you move faster, like a pistol.

Use jiggle peeking in your game to get your opponents used to you and gain an advantage in fights.

    Entry Fragging with Good Movement:

When going into a site, it’s important to clear angles methodically and not let multiple enemies see you at once. If you don’t move well, you can make yourself an easy target.

Isolate each angle and clear it one at a time, or cut the pie in a methodical way. By moving well and putting your crosshair in the right place, you can quickly and accurately kill enemies and secure the site for your team.

    Counter-Strafing:

Counter-strafing is an important skill that lets you stop quickly and keep your accuracy when you burst or shoot. To counter-strafe, press A or D while you are strafing in the opposite direction.

This method is especially useful when burst strafing, in which you fire a short burst of bullets, move the other way, and do it again and again until you kill someone. By getting good at counter-strafing, you can improve your overall movement control and make it easier for you to win duels.

    Crouching Strategies:

Whether or not to crouch depends on things like rank and the situation. At lower ranks, you might not need to crouch because your opponents don’t always have their crosshairs in the right place. But at higher ranks, when your opponents have better aim, crouching can throw off where their crosshairs are, giving you an advantage.

If you want to stay mobile and make yourself harder to hit, don’t crouch during long-range fights or when facing multiple enemies.

    Jump Peeking:

Jump-peeking is a more advanced way to get snipers to shoot at you or get information without being fully seen. By jumping out with your knife and quickly ducking back behind cover, you can force an opponent to reveal their position or waste a shot.

Jump peeking is a skill that can make you harder to hit and give you important information that you can use to plan your next move.

    Bunny Hopping and Air Strafing:

In order to keep your momentum and move more smoothly, bunny hopping requires the use of the mouse and the movement keys (W, A, S, and D). Valorant has limits on how fast you can move, so you can’t go very fast like in other games. However, bunny hopping can still help you get better at air strafing.

Air strafing is needed to do skill jumps, get through tricky areas, and use advanced movement techniques. By practising bunny hopping and air strafing, you can get better at controlling your movement and become more versatile on the battlefield.

Mastering how to move around in Valorant is important if you want to do well in the game. By using these strategies in your game, you can get an edge over your opponents, make more accurate shots, and get around them. Remember to practise these skills often if you want to get better at moving.

As you get better with your movement in Valorant, you will notice that your overall gameplay quality improves drastically. Have fun climbing those ranks and becoming a better Valorant player!
