VALORANT VCT Americas: KRÜ Esports Sets Record for Shortest Match in History

The team representing the Argentine organization, KRÜ Esports, just created history in the VCT Americas split, but not for the right reasons. In the fastest match ever played in the league, the team lost 2-0 to another South American team, Leviatán.

The whole match was only an hour and a half long, and that was with breaks between maps and analysis parts at halftime. KRÜ Esports is no longer in the running for a spot in the playoffs because they haven’t won a league game.

VCT Americas: KRÜ Esports Sets Record for Shortest Match in History

KRÜ Esports Dominance in South America

KRÜ Esports isn’t used to failing this badly in Valorant. In 2021 and 2022, the team went to every international event and won the South American region and placed in the top four at Valorant Champions 2021. During this time, the team was better than every other team in South America.

    Subsequent Changes

KRÜ Esports tried to get back on track after a rough start to the season by putting in Carlos ‘axeddy’ Alberto instead of Santiago ‘DaveeyS’ Ruiz. But so far, the move hasn’t led to anything important.

The team will miss its first foreign tournament, the VCT Masters Tokyo, because it only has two games left in the league. For KRÜ Esports to have a chance to go to Valorant Champions 2023, they will have to wait until the last-chance tournament in the Americas.

The KRÜ Esports group has been hit hard by this turn of events. The team’s success in South America made people think it would do well in foreign tournaments, but its poor showing in the VCT Americas split smashed these hopes.

It’s not clear what went wrong with the team, but the fact that a young player was brought in says that the organization may be trying to rebuild and look to the future.

The VCT Americas split has been full of big shocks, and the fact that KRÜ Esports hasn’t won a single game is one of the biggest. Even though the team is out of the running for the playoffs, it still has a chance to get back on track in the last-chance qualifier for the Americas.

It’s still not clear if KRÜ Esports will be able to get over this setback and take back the lead in the area. Fans will be anxiously waiting for any news about how the team is doing and hope for better results in the future.
