The world of esports is intensely competitive, and the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) is no exception. The French-speaking team Karmine Corp was having trouble in the VCT EMEA league.
They had lost four games in a row. But after Alexis “Newzera” Humbert left the team, they were able to get back on track and win their second league game.
Adil ‘ScreaM’ Benrlitom, the captain of Karmine Corp, went online to explain how the team was able to get back on track after a losing run. ScreaM said that a few things led to the team’s improvement.
First, Ahmed ‘ZE1SH’ Sheikh, the team’s assistant leader, stepped up to take Newzera’s place. He gave the team the energy and aggression they had been missing.
ZE1SH is known for having a lot of knowledge and skill in the game. He has played for teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas and K23 in the past. ScreaM thanked ZE1SH for what he had done for the team, saying that his energy and new ideas had helped the team a lot.

Second, the team has been working with mental trainers to help them get along better and feel better generally. ScreaM said that the mental part of the game is just as important as the physical part, and the team has been working hard to improve how they think about the game and how they approach it.
ScreaM said that when he put the team together, he wanted them to play in an organized and “synergistic” way that would be better tactically than other teams. But he now knows that making such a system is not easy and that it may have kept him and other players from playing their best.
So, the team has gone back to a standard Duelist/meta system that doesn’t require too much thinking and is based on individuality and momentum, which is where they shine. ScreaM said that he likes this way of playing because it gives him more freedom to be himself.
He said that the team has been playing more fiercely and with more confidence, which has helped them win their last few games.
ScreaM can now spend more time on his own game because ZE1SH has taken over as the in-game leader (IGL) of Karmine Corp. ScreaM and his brother Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom led the server in their latest game against KOI with over 50 kills each.
Karmine Corp will try to keep getting better in their next game on May 4 against FUT Esports. They want to make sure they get into the VCT EMEA playoffs. With the team’s fresh energy and focus, fans will be excited to see if they can keep winning and do well in their next matches.
