Crosshair matters a ton when you are new to the game. To be honest, the first crosshair the game gives you is literally one of the worst crosshairs you could probably ask for.
The only good aspect of the default crosshair is the firing error. With firing error enabled, you learn the gun mechanics and the golden rule of staying still while you shoot.

I personally use either the dot crosshair of Scream’s or the traditional “+” crosshair. It totally depends on which gun I’m in the mood to use.
The dot crosshair best suits players that are more inclined to use guns like the Vandal, Guardian, and Sheriff, whereas the + crosshair is best suited for guns that can spray like the Frenzy, Phantom, Ares, and the deadly Odin.
