Valorant, Riot’s tactical shooter game, has been facing some issues in recent weeks with stream snipers and crypto-betters throwing a good portion of their games. High-profile players have voiced their frustrations with the situation, but Tarik “tarik” Celik has come up with a solution. Tarik created the Valorant Pro City server, which is an alternative to the ranked ladder in Valorant. This server allows selected individuals to join custom matches by entering their lobby.
Michael “shroud” Grzesiek is a well-known streamer and is no stranger to high-level play in various games. Despite his close ties with Tarik, as they have spent time competing in CSGO and playing under the same org at Sentinels, Shroud feels as if he shouldn’t be joining the Valorant Pro City server.
Shroud Avoids Confrontation with Tarik’s Valorant Pro City Server
In a recent broadcast, Shroud acknowledged that he does not meet the server’s requirements and does not want to put Tarik in a difficult situation by trying to get in simply because they are close friends.
Shroud has been busy with other games such as World of Warcraft and Escape from Tarkov, so it is evident that he is not fully focused on Valorant at the moment. However, it is possible that Shroud will return to the big leagues if his competitive itch returns. For now, it is unlikely that Shroud will be joining the custom 10-man Valorant lobbies.
Shroud is aware of his current limitations and is not trying to join the Valorant Pro City server, at least not yet. Since “Pro 10s” are the talk of the town, it will be very hard for Shroud to play in high-elo regular lobbies because he often gets stream sniped. Given that he hasn’t been regularly streaming the game in recent months, he may not have observed crypto throwers in his games. These throwers will most likely go online as soon as he starts streaming and wreck the game for him. It will be challenging for not only Shroud but almost any well-known streamer to enter those high-elo lobbies and grind the game on a regular basis
The problems on the official ladder can be fixed on Tarik’s Valorant Pro City server, which is open to a small group of people who meet the requirements. With Shroud’s focus on other games, it is uncertain when he will return to Valorant, but for now, fans will have to wait and see.
