The Valorant roster mania continues! Sentinels have made a big move. They’ve signed Jordan ‘Zellsis’ Montemurro. Remember him? He used to play for Cloud9. But, he’s joining Sentinels now as a backup player.
Let’s rewind a bit. Zellsis used to play for Sentinels in 2022. But it was for a short time. Sadly, the team didn’t make it to the World Championships. Then, Zellsis played for Cloud9.
Valorant Esports News : Zellsis Joins Sentinels and Cloud9’s Big Moves!
The team did really well. They ended second in regular season matches. But, they missed out on international events. That’s a big deal in esports!
Zellsis is versatile. He has played different roles in the game. His favorite characters? KAY/0, Raze, and Phoenix. As Sentinels’ backup, he can fit in anywhere.
Why did Zellsis choose Sentinels?
He spoke about it on his livestream. Some esports teams are having money problems. He thinks Sentinels are stable. This is good for his future. He had many other offers. Some were from big teams ready to win big.
Others offered him a lot of money. But Zellsis wants to build his brand with Sentinels. He also wants to create content. Don’t worry. He’s not quitting. He wants to compete!
By the way, Sentinels made another signing. Mouhamed ‘johnqt’ Ouarid from M80 joined. He will lead in-game. Jimmy ‘Marved’ Nguyen might leave though. He hasn’t renewed his contract.
Now, let’s talk about another team: Cloud9. News is, they’re getting back Anthony ‘vanity’ Malaspina. Remember? They dropped him before. Now, they want him again. They also signed a new player, Francis ‘OXY’ Hoang.
Vanity used to be a big name in Cloud9. After leaving them, he joined another team called Shopify Rebellion. They had a decent season but didn’t win big.
OXY? He’s new and exciting. He played well for G2. He might replace another player, ‘leaf’, in Cloud9. Or, he might take on a new role. We’ll see.
Cloud9 had a mixed 2023 season. They won against Paper Rex in one big match. But overall, they didn’t shine on the global stage. Still, they had good matches in America. Even with new players joining late, like ‘jakee’ and ‘runi’.
Before leaving Cloud9, vanity was with them for a long time. He joined in 2021. Before that? He was with Version1. He even played in Valorant Champions 2021 with Cloud9.
So, there you have it! The Valorant roster scene is full of changes. Players move around. Teams change strategies. It’s always exciting! Stay tuned for more updates.
