Why Apex Legends Scrimmages May Not Be as Useful as Players Think

Apex Legends is a popular battle royale game with a lot of fans in the gaming world. One thing that many players try to get better at is playing the game against other people. Scrimmages, or “scrims,” are games where players play against other competitive players to practice and improve their skills. But Hiswattson, a pro Apex Legends player, says that these practice games may not be as helpful as many players think.

In a recent interview, Hiswattson talked about why he thinks Apex Legends scrimmages don’t work as well as they ought to. He said that the problem with scrimmages is that they are usually set up and run by players who are new to the competitive scene. This means that the level of play in these scrimmages is not as good as it could be, and players may not be getting the most out of their practice time.

Why Apex Legends Scrimmages May Not Be as Useful as Players Think

Hiswattson also said that many players in scrimmages are not used to playing in a competitive setting. Most of the time, people play regular games for fun and don’t take them too seriously. But in scrimmages, players may not know how to handle the pressure to perform well. This can make you play badly and not get better.

Another problem with scrimmages is that they usually don’t have as much structure and organization as professional games. Coaches and analysts help professional teams get ready for games and plan their moves. Most scrimmages, on the other hand, are set up by the players themselves and don’t have as much help. This means that players may not get as much coaching and analysis as they would in a professional game.

Even with these problems, Hiswattson thinks that scrimmages can still be helpful for players who want to get better at playing in real games. But he says that players need to be realistic about how scrimmages work and not put too much stock in them. Players should instead focus on other ways to get better, like watching pro games, analyzing their own play, and asking more experienced players for advice.

Overall, scrimmages can be a good way for Apex Legends players to get better at competitive play, but they are not the only way. Professional players like Hiswattson have said that scrimmages have some problems, like not having enough experienced players and coaches and not having a set plan. So, players shouldn’t rely too much on scrimmages. Instead, they should focus on other ways to get better, like watching professional games, analyzing their own play, and asking advice from more experienced players. By doing this, players can make the most of their practice time and increase their chances of doing well in games.
