Global Esports finally got its first foreign win when it beat Talon Esports 2-0 in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023: Pacific League, which is still going on. Before that, the team had lost four times in a row in the VCT 2023 circuit, which made its fans worry. But the team’s success came from their patience, persistence, and strategic lineup changes.

Both teams were trying to get their first win of the regular season, so this best-of-three game was very important. Global Esports had lost to T1, DRX, and ZETA DIVISION, and Talon Esports had lost to Team Secret, T1, and DRX in the same way. Still, Global Esports surprised everyone by making some strategic lineup changes and winning the game with no losses.

The two Indian players on the team, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar and Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, were both used. Lightningfast played his famous agent Raze for the first time as a key player, and he did so with a famous play to show that he was there. SkRossi, on the other hand, played in his second official VCT match. He made his first showing during the VCT 2023: LOCK//IN So Paulo.

Global Esports Scores First-Ever VCT 2023 Victory Against Talon Esports

Global Esports chose the first map, Split, and played a good defense to win the first two rounds. They finished the half with a commanding 9-3 score, which Talon Esports couldn’t catch up to, so Global Esports easily won the map 13-6. Talon Esports chose the second map, Icebox, and both teams fought hard to keep the score even at the half-point mark. Global Esports was able to get away from the other teams and win the map 13-11 after a tough battle.

Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki was the MVP for Global Esports. He had an amazing game with an ACS of 284 and a K/D/A of 46/26/18, which made sure that his team won in a shocking way. With a record of 1-3, Global Esports will play Paper Rex in its next game, which will start on April 22 at 13:30 IST and go on for a while.

The fact that Global Esports won shows how important it is to be patient and keep trying. Even though there were failures and criticism, the team stayed focused on its goals, changed its plans, and won. This win should encourage other teams to keep pushing themselves and trying to win.
