The Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) has already been a hit with esports fans all over the world, but right now, the Americas region is far and away the most popular region in terms of viewership.
According to the statistics site Esports Charts, the first week of VCT Americas saw a peak viewership of 407,641 people during the first match between Sentinels and 100 Thieves. With a peak viewership of 336,678, the Brazilian showdown between LOUD and MIBR came in second.
Co-Streaming and Competitive Skill Propel VCT Americas to Record Viewership Numbers
Comparatively, during the first week of VCT EMEA, the two most popular matches fell short of reaching a peak of 290,000 viewers, and two weeks into VCT Pacific, the league’s peak viewership is 272,093 people.

The average viewership for VCT Americas during the first week was 226,401, which was significantly higher than the average viewership for the EMEA and Pacific regions, respectively. Only the match between Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses in North America failed to reach 200,000 viewers at its peak viewership.
Co-streaming has been a big part of Valorant esports’ success around the world, and it was a big reason why the match between Sentinels and 100 Thieves had such a high viewership peak. Tarik ‘tarik’ Celik, who makes content for Sentinels, was at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles to co-stream the match with Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, the founder and CEO of 100 Thieves. According to Streams Charts, the stream had over 140,000 viewers at one point.
This incredible viewership is proof of Valorant‘s rising popularity in the Americas. The North American derby between NRG and Sentinels is expected to be the most important game of the second week of games.
But it’s not just about the numbers. Teams like Sentinels, 100 Thieves, and NRG are all fighting for a spot in the VCT Masters in the Americas region, where the level of competition is also very high. This area has always produced some of the best esports athletes in the world, and Valorant is no different.
When it comes to Valorant eSports viewership, it’s clear that the Americas region is in the lead right now. It will be interesting to see if other regions can catch up and compete with the Americas in the future given the game’s growing popularity.
What do you think of VCT Americas‘ outstanding viewership? Do you think other regions will catch up or will the Americas continue to lead the way? Share your thoughts in the comments!
