Update As Twitch Streamer Kai Cenat BANNED After Consuming Edibles Live On Stream
Kai decided to stream himself consuming edibles, or THC-infused snacks, on his Twitch account on January 26th. However, the stream swiftly deteriorated when Kai began to feel the effects of the edibles and passed out on the stream. Because the platform’s community guidelines forbid any drug-related activities, including the ingestion of edibles, this incident resulted in a temporary ban from Twitch.
Many of Kai’s fans didn’t like what he did, and they let him know on social media. However, aside from a lighthearted tweet regarding his punishment, Kai has yet to comment on the entire episode.

During this tough moment, Cenat’s fans have been tremendously understanding and supportive. They accept that everyone makes mistakes and hope to see him back on Twitch soon. Even though he has been banned before, they are sure that he will come back stronger and more disciplined.
This isn’t the first time Kai was banned
- One incident includes being accused of transphobia
- Another incident includes accidentally leaking a woman’s contact information
- Received a 30-day ban for alleged racist comments
Clearly, he has received multiple bans while partnering with Twitch. The length of this ban is yet to be determined. Depending on the severity of the issue, there is typically a three-strike policy. Perhaps this is one of the many exemptions Twitch grants to select, privileged streamers.
Or it may be a simple “Leave the Platform” ban, as Dr. Disrespect is currently experiencing on Twitch. Either way, for now, Kai will have to wait just like us to get his verdict.
As previously mentioned, Kai has not commented on the entire incident other than his tweet regarding his ban. His fans, on the other hand, are eagerly awaiting his return.
