Call of Duty players who play XDefiant have been complaining about the strength of the aim assist, saying that it is “too strong” and makes it hard for them to aim in XDefiant.
As the closed beta for XDefiant goes on and the game’s release in the summer approaches, many players and gaming personalities have called it a strong rival to the hugely famous Call of Duty series.
The Aim Assist Debate: XDefiant Players Claim Call of Duty’s is ‘Too Strong’
Aim assist in fast-paced shooters played with controllers has been a topic of talk for a long time, particularly in the Call of Duty community. In fact, most people in the Call of Duty League use controllers, which makes the focus on aim assist even stronger.

Aim assist has been criticised by well-known Call of Duty player personalities like Scump, who sees it as a crutch for players. Now that many Call of Duty players are trying out XDefiant’s beta, they are having trouble getting used to its aim assist, which is said to be less powerful.
In a tweet, ExoGhost showed a clip of a player in XDefiant missing shots and complaining about the game’s aim assist. The player yelled, “If they don’t fix the finger aim assist, I’m not going to play this game, even if it’s free.” This aim assist is awful; you can’t kill anyone far away with the controller.”
Despite these issues, many XDefiant players, who may also be fans of Call of Duty, disagreed with the idea that XDefiant’s aim assist is not enough. A popular Call of Duty YouTuber named LegoUnlocked said that complaining about weak aim assist was the same as complaining that Skill-Based Matchmaking wasn’t strong enough.
Another Call of Duty YouTuber, Shady, said the same thing: “People have it easy these days. In all honesty, this is why I don’t take aim assist or professional play in COD very seriously.
Until the full release of XDefiant, it is unknown whether Ubisoft, the game’s creator, will increase the game’s aim assist strength. But it can’t be denied that the makers might need to improve the way the aim assist works if they want to draw in a more casual audience.
In the end, XDefiant players have complained about the strength of Call of Duty‘s aim assist, saying that it is “too strong.” Some players believe that the aim assist in XDefiant is insufficient, while others say that it is sufficient. This problem has sparked a debate among players.
