After a two-year hiatus, Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An is making a comeback to the Apex Legends competitive scene.
The 100 Thieves streamer wants to play in the Challenger Circuit Split 2 with Lyric “lyric” Quinonez, a former player for CLG and eUnited.
iiTzTimmy had previously dominated the casual and Ranked arenas of Apex Legends, and even found success in the esports world when he teamed up with NiceWigg and Apryze as a part of Team Sheesh.
But things didn’t go as planned during his time with the Golden Guardians, and he stopped competing in late 2021.
iTzTimmy Returns to Apex Legends Competitive Scene After Two-Year Break
In a post on TwitLonger on March 14, iiTzTimmy said that he had left the competitive scene because of computer problems and because the Apex community had been too mean and critical of him. The constant criticism had taken a toll on his mental health, leading him to take a break.
But now, iiTzTimmy is excited to return to the competitive Apex Legends scene with lyric. In his tweet, he said that they are also looking for a controller player who can lead the team, but he joked that he could do that himself.
Shortly after iiTzTimmy’s tweet, Apryze also announced his return to competitive play. However, as he is a keyboard and mouse player, it is unlikely that the two will team up again.
The Challenger Circuit Split 2 qualifiers start on March 25, giving iiTzTimmy time to put together his team. It will be interesting to see how well he does after his break from competitive play.
In recent years, many streamers and content creators have tried to make their mark on the competitive scene of their favorite games. While some have succeeded, others have had trouble making the switch from casual to competitive play. After his break, it will be interesting to see where iiTzTimmy falls on this scale.
It is important to note that the esports industry has grown significantly in recent years, with many games now having established competitive scenes. Because of this growth, there are now more ways for players, streamers, and content creators to stand out in the industry.
Fans of the game and the esports community are very excited about iiTzTimmy’s return to the competitive Apex Legends scene.
Having previously achieved success in both casual and competitive play, iiTzTimmy’s partnership with Lyric “lyric” Quinonez in the upcoming Challenger Circuit Split 2 is sure to get attention.
As the esports industry grows, it’s exciting to see more streamers and content creators enter the competitive scene. iiTzTimmy’s comeback is a great example of this trend.
