The Call of Duty League (CDL) is a professional esports league for the popular first-person shooter game Call of Duty. The league started in 2020, and it is made up of 12 teams from different cities in the United States and Europe. The CDL is based on seasons, and each season has a number of events, such as regular-season matches, majors, and a championship tournament.

The Call of Duty League Major 2 Qualifiers were well under way when OpTic Texas played Atlanta FaZe in a match to decide who would get the first seed. Both teams wanted a spot in the Winner’s Bracket, so the game was sure to be a tough and hard-fought battle. OpTic Texas eventually won the match with a 3-2 reverse sweep victory, largely due to Brandon “Dashy” Otell’s record-breaking effort.

After losing the first two maps of the series, Dashy turned up the pressure on FaZe and set three season records as a result. He started off by killing 41 people on the Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint. This set the record for most kills in a single map and broke the damage record that Scrappy had set at Major 1 with 13,760 damage. On top of that, he won the record for most kills in the whole series with 114.

But Atlanta FaZe didn’t give up easily. Star SMGs Chris “Simp” Lehr and Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris each set their own records. Abezy had 9 first-bloods in a series, which was the most. Simp had 237 engagements, which was the most. OpTic Shotzzy also got the name “most-times first blooded” because he died first in 10 out of the five rounds of the marathon.

Even though their veteran leader Scump recently retired, OpTic Texas showed that they are still a force to be reckoned with in the CDL era. The way they did in the Major 2 Qualifiers shows that they are ready to take on the challenge head-on as they get ready to play their first match against the Los Angeles Thieves. In their first match, Atlanta FaZe will play against Boston Breach.

In conclusion, the Call of Duty League is a fast-growing esports league that lets spectators and participants experience competitive Call of Duty. The Major 2 Qualifiers are an important part of the current season, so fans can look forward to more exciting and intense tournaments in the months to come. The CDL has something for everyone, whether you are a huge Call of Duty fan or just like to watch high-level esports. So, make sure to watch as the best Call of Duty teams in the world fight for glory, prestige, and big prize pools.
