In the Quads mode of Warzone, players have been experiencing a strange bug that puts them in squads with more than four people. Some players have said that they were put in six-person teams with people they didn’t know and didn’t invite. Players are confused and angry about this bug because it gives some teams an unfair advantage over others.
One Reddit user posted a picture of their team, which had five members when it was only supposed to have four. The user told the other players that they were playing Battle Royale Quads and not DMZ, which lets players join teams in the middle of the match. The same thing happened to Warzone streamer TheTacticalBear, who started a game of Battle Royale Quads on the same day with a strange group of six players.
Warzone Players Report Six-Person Squads in Quads Mode
In both cases, the bigger teams easily won because they had more people on their side. But the cutscene at the end showed all six players in the plane, which suggests that this bug affects the whole lobby and not just one squad. Other squads shown in the end credits had different numbers of players, with some having five or six people
Many players think that the recent removal of the “Unhinged” modes, where players could have up to six people in their squad, could be the cause of this bug. It’s possible that some parts of these modes are still in the latest patch, making the game think that players are still in Unhinged mode. On the other hand, it could be a bug where the game thinks players are playing DMZ, where squads of up to six players are allowed.
As of this writing, Activision hasn’t said anything about the bug or fixed it. When players drop into Warzone, they should be on the lookout for bigger squads than usual. This bug could give some squads an unfair edge over others, making the playing field less fair.
The recent bug in Warzone 2 that caused strange team sizes in Quads mode has left players confused and angry. Even though it might give some teams an unfair advantage, it’s important for game developers to quickly find and fix bugs to keep the game fair and fun for everyone. Until then, players should keep an eye out for bigger squads than usual and let the game’s developers know about any problems they run into.
