Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, which were once very popular video games, are at an all time low. Since November of last year, the games have had the lowest number of players ever.
With a shocking 56% drop in users, it looks like the games are about to die out. Even though people hoped that the Season 2 update would bring new life to the games, it has only caused the number of players to drop even more.
The situation is so bad that even their biggest CoD streamers have left and called the update a failure. As the games face their darkest hour, it remains to be seen if they can be saved or if they will be lost forever.
Since then, things haven’t gotten better, and the average number of players has dropped to a record low of 90,000. In March, the number of players peaked at 156,956. Season 2 of the game started on March 9, and it was thought that it might bring both games back to life.
But big names in the gaming world, like JGOD and Aydan, criticized the seasonal update and stopped playing the games, as have a lot of other people in the past 30 days.
Even though the number of people playing Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is going down, the communities for both games have accepted this, and some even hope it will continue.

Based on the game’s Battle Pass timer, the third seasons of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 should start on April 12. It’s still not clear if the new season will be able to bring back players who have stopped playing the latest Call of Duty game.
Fans of the game may be worried about the falling number of players, but it could give Infinity Ward a chance to rethink their strategy and make changes that could bring people back to the game.
Time will tell if the game’s creators will listen to their community and make the changes needed to bring the games back to life.
Personally, I think it’s time to take a stand and demand better from game developers! Let’s make our voices heard and show Infinity Ward that we won’t tolerate subpar updates and neglect for our favorite games. Don’t let Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 fade into obscurity – let’s fight for the games we love and demand the quality we deserve!
